Represent have secured funding and support from Telefonica/O2, the Cabinet Office and UnLtd.
In January we pitched and got accepted onto the WayraUK business accelerator programme run by Telefonica/O2. We joined 12 other fantastic teams as part of the 2014 cohort that has been given an amazing package of support for the next 9 months. We were delighted and felt incredibly privileged to be part of such an amazing group.
The awards were covered in Tech Crunch and Wayra made a great video of the event which you can see below:
WayraUK recognised our business potential and opportunity for high growth and scale. However, for us we also believe that good business is equally driven by its social value as it is by financial success. So we were even more excited when the sister programme – WayraUnLtd, delivered with UnLtd and funded by the Cabinet Office, recognised our social aims and offered a place on their programme as well, which we are delighted to accept. This is the best of both worlds for Represent and means we can leverage more support within both the private and social sectors.
The programme of support we get includes:
- Being based in the Wayra London offices within a fantastic ecosystem of tech start-ups and social ventures.
- Access to top level mentors, coaches and expertise that is second to none.
- Access to support, marketing and personnel from Telefonica/O2 and UnLtd.
- £40,000 in seed investment.
This is an incredible opportunity for us and will have a massive impact on the development of our business as we move forwards. We’re very excited by what the rest of 2014 has in store!
